I have had tremor, a habitual shaking in my hands and arms. It comes and goes. What I wanted to know if anyone else has dealt with this and how they cope with it. It is getting to a point where people are noticing.

From my quack understanding, neurological problems can be due to a whole range of causes. If you've not already done so, get yourself checked over straight away. If nothing else, to put your mind at rest and hopefully sort the problem. :rose:

My first question would be, what medications are you taking? Some medications, (particularly psychotropic medications), have a side effect of involuntary muscle movement. (tremors, tics, etc) Also environmental chemicals like cleaning fluids and insecticides/pesticides can cause tremors. I would research the side effects of any chemicals or medications you may be using, then make an appointment with your doctor. If the tremors are being caused by a chemical or medication, and if you let it go too long, the tremor can become permanent and untreatable. Early diagnosis and treatment is critical for involuntary muscle movement.

Note: The reason I suggested researching side effects of chemical or medications you may be exposed to is because if the doctor doesn't know you have been exposed to a particular chemical or medication, he could inadvertently misdiagnose the cause

See a doctor as soon as possible.

Without the tests a doctor can order and/or an evaluation of any medications or supplements you're taking, there is absolutely no way to determine the cause.

One possible cause is low blood sugar; a condition that will kill you if left un-addressed.

1. Quit doing drugs.
2. Quit drinking so much.
3. See a doctor as soon as you can.
4. See a doctor as soon as you can.

Take it from an old man who has been around three days longer than dirt...go to the doctor. There are so many things that can cause tremors. A lot of them really serious, but you need to see a doctor to figure it out.

(Not directly aimed at OP necessarily but more a general observation on here and in RL)

It's funny (curious not haha) that we will often delay action when it is our own health in question, but urge others to seek medical attention ASAP when presented with alarming signs. Are we half stuck in invincible stage or just paralyzed by fear of the unknown/suspected? We're such curious creatures. I subscribe to doing for myself what I'd advise a friend to do.

Also, add another tick in the "go see Doc" column, OP. I hope all is easily answered and corrected. :)

I'll reiterate the go see a doctor advice. A whole bunch of different neurological or general health problems can be causing it.

In my case, it turned out to be focal epilepsy.

I think you've already done the right thing. Going to a porn site and asking for medical advice from a bunch or horny perverts is the logical first step for curing any medical problem. If we'd all follow your lead we'd all be a lot healthier.

I guess I should be more like you? Doing absolutely no good for anyone by being a smart ass. FYI there are doctors, nurses, etc on this site that I have talked to before. Didn't your mother ever tell you that if you didn't have anything nice to say to not say anything at all.

Another vote for "talk to a doctor". Harold's suggestion of noting meds and chemical exposure is a good idea; pesticides and heavy metals can have effects like this, among many other things. Make a list and take it with you to the doctor.

Come to think of it she did mention that a time or two. I was always a bit of a rebellious child though. Apparently that hasn't changed.

So was I but I was never deliberately rude to anyone. It shows what kind of class a person has.

I beg to differ, you're being quite rude now actually. Many people have contributed to your thread, expressing both concern and valuable advice, which you solicited, yet you have seen fit only to chastise a smart remark.

Class indeed.

It will never surprise me how many trolls on this site that have nothing better to do than post just for the sake of posting.

I do not find it rude that I chastised his remark because it was unwarranted, and had nothing to do with the topic i was posting about. Trolls do anything and everything on this site to get attention. I advise both you and the other poster to grow up. Last I checked this was an 'adult site'. If you don't like what I have to say that is just fine, go find something else to do. Trolls have no idea how ridiculous they make themselves look. They assume they're being funny when they're really just making idiots out of themselves. I am an educated adult who asked a simple question. If you had no useful information to add then you had really no other reason to post then to get attention which makes you no better than a toddler.

It takes a person less than 5 mins of reading your contributions here to know what you're all about.

....It'd be amusing if it weren't so sad.

Carry on, I'm out. I don't waste my time on this kind of nonsense.

Agreed. hitting "unsubscribe" and "ignore".

Sorry but I LOL'd

Yeah Like all the others have said, best thing to do is ask you doc. I personally hate going to the dr. I suffer from this as well and have always thought it was because of my drinking habits. Just found out a few weeks ago both my sisters have the same thing. They hardly drink. Not sure if it could be genetic but if I go to the doc I may find out it's a real problem........

Check your diet and drinking habits first, IMO.
For instance, too much strong coffee will cause a nerve tremor.
Check on your medication and write down what you eat and drink, and clock what is what when the tremors start.
Then take the list to your doctor!

Good Luck

I agree with consulting your doctor about it. Essential Tremors can be inherited.

I also agree that people ask strangers on a porn site for some of the strangest personal guidance.

It's impossible to answer this question without a through medical exam and medication history.
I agree with others, make an appt with your doctor.
Eliminate caffeine, alcohol, fast food and sugar from your diet (harder than you think).

Good luck!!
