How To Cry Like A Little Girl - Malala at the U.N.

The Taliban and the warlords are just a scant few months from returning to operations as usual.

 We won.

The Warlord will be President.

One President tears them down and the other builds them back up again!

Which one do we love unconditionally?

Is it the President of the Party that hates women, makes KFC jokes about them and forces third world girls into schools, or is it the party that hates Republican women and takes third world girls back out of the schools to maintain diversity...?

Really had to work for that false equivalency there, didn't ya chief?

You know, when I wanted to share the inspirational message of a young girl who has experienced mindless hatred of her for the symbol she presents...possible freedom from hatred in the future...

I wasn't aware that she was irrelevant entirely and that only the word "Taliban" would catch attention and inspire the spewing of more useless hatred, the likes of which she's attempting to fight.

That's why her message is of so much value. It isn't just an issue for the Pakistani women. To fight the whining hatred of those lacking social courage unless it comes in the form of standing up for more hatred and blame.

You guys make me sad.

She is a great public speaker... especially considering her age, and that she's speaking her non-native language.

Girl's got guts.

Yeah, that's why I included a clip and not an article. She is not tentative, she is not scared, she is not angry. She is determined.

They are sad, bitter old fools.

Their only existence is to blame obama.

Iggy their stupid asses and move on.

I have hope. Not faith, but hope. She is an inspiration and I can't imagine why you would need to ignore or degrade her unless...yeah, unless you really don't want people thinking for themselves or making the world better, because that might mean you'd have to get off your ass and do something too.

Once you've chosen to wall yourself off from the world, it doesn't help to see good things happening there, does it?

What if you could have made good stuff happen yourself if you'd used your opportunities?

Nah. Easier to think "Stupid bitch. Life will grind her under its heel just like it did with me."

Some people are heel resistant.

Didn't you get the memo? Everything is always an opportunity to throw a cheap snark at Obama. There is no topic that is out of reach for poisoning with petty.

Try to poison anyway. Well, it's nice I can still be shocked by people's behavior.

A truly inspiring young person of great character and courage. She's incredibly well spoken and at ease...unbelievable at only 16 years of age.

This young lady and young ladies like her are the reason why when I hear insults about doing something "like a little girl" I always think less of the speaker.

There are so many "little girls" that could kick adult ass physically, mentally and philosophically.

This is the first reference to Obama in this thread. :( Who is blaming him? I can think of a lot of things to blame him for, but not this.

If you've had many conversations with JBJ or 4est, that would be enough explanation.

The story is about her, not about America's action in Afghanistan or anything else.

However, certain posters, and these are not the only ones surely, take nearly every opportunity to speak as a way to twist the narrative toward certain subjects that otherwise wouldn't be mentioned 99% of the time.

Now, this the second reference to Obama. Nobody else has made enough of a stretch to blame or credit him for anything having to do with Malala.

I have posted to many of the same threads as the people you mentioned, and many of them do castigate Obama. However, this is not one of them.

However, they also had nothing to say on the actual topic. To say so gently, neither do you so far.

This is true, until now. Ever since I first read of this girl, I have admired and respected her and wished her nothing but well. The actions of the Taliban thugs are among the reasons I despise organized religion of any kind.

Thank you.

I mistrust organized religion, but I don't despise it. In her speech she is defending her Islamic roots as well, and saying that the terrorists turn it into a weapon. However, she points out that education is a demand of Islam. It is the duty of an Islamic family to educate their children, male and female.

AJ made the first reference to Obama in his second post in this thread. Perhaps you have him on ignore. I wouldn't blame you.

Wouldn't that be ironic? The kiddie diddler has mod status, so we can't put him on ignore, but he can put others on ignore.

This big ole world just isn't fair, I tell ya.

Say something nice about Malala. Please.
