The confusion finally ends! *g*

http://www.balicompany.com/

left-click 'tips & techniques'; then left-click 'bras'

I originally posted this in a thread started by Pyper on the general forum because that site in rather enlightening and according to another site, 70-85% of all women wear wrong bra sizes, so, being the nice person that I am, I thought I´d help the ladies out a little bit *g*.

Yeah, it's called going into the store, finding different size bras, and finding the one that fits around your ribcage without being to tight or loose, while the cups have no loose fabric folds over the nipple. Basically, everything is full.

I don't EVEN think this thing is right! I wear a 38C, using their way of figuring it would be 44A. Now let's get real! No way in hell would that work!

44dd... i know the hell of bra shopping lol

I'm only 5'2", lugged 40DD breasts around since my teenage years, and dreamed of breast reduction surgery my whole life.

I had the surgery last September and it's made an incredible difference in my life. I can run. I can hike. I don't have to buy clothing to fit my breasts anymore. I can buy clothing in regular sizes in regular stores and i can wear those little skimpy t-shirts, the kind with no place to hide big wide bra straps. My breasts are perky and proud and firm. I think i'm in the B-C cup size now but i don't know for sure because i haven't worn a bra since the surgery. I'm never wearing a bra again!

Ahhh, freedom!

Hmmmmm? I didn't check out the bali site cause I have seen the whole calculation thing several places. Measure here, measure there, add and subtract something. And had it done 'professionally', lol. Which was not as much fun as you guys probably envision it to be. I admit it sounds dumb and no idea who thought it up, but I am a 34b and it does work for me.

Yes, I also doubt that that 44A is your size if you´re wearing 38C normally - next time don´t mix up the numbers!!!

balicompany.com

the afformetioned web site (www.balicompany.com) only works if you are below a certain size that matches their product line.

Now for the age old way to calculate your bra siza

Measure around the rib cage directly under the bust.
This is your band size (36..44 etc) round odd numbers up to the next number
then measure around the fullest part of your bust subtract band measurement form this number =
1" A
2" B
3" C
4" D
5" DD
6" E
and so on
this is your cup size

example
band size is 36inches
fullest part of bust measures 38
so 38 - 36 = 2' difference therfore a B cup
this person NEEDS TO WEAR A 36B BRA TO BE COMFORTABLE
