How to become a cam girl

I'm looking for legitimate information on how to make money on a webcam site, or any similar business model. No, it's not for me, don't get your hopes up. I passed that opportunity about 50 pounds ago. I have a friend who asked me to find some answers for her as it is one of her fantasies to become a cam girl. Any personal experiences of being employed in such a venture or second hand experiences would be appreciated as well. I just need information.

Then it's fairly easy to sign up on cam sites. If she isn't worried about money there are sites that can easily be googled to accommodate her needs. If she has a cam and wants to do it, there's really nothing else to it. She will need to be aware that there are those that will harass her or expect her to do things she isn't in to. Now being a guy i know nothing about being a cam girl but my practical side says Meekme is right on the money with their first statment. But from what i've read i'm just kinda curious about SarcasticDarlin's friend and like to offer to help.

I'm not a cam girl, but I've seen some sites mentioned in groups for cam models. (Looks like I can't mention the sites) and my free cam were mentioned a lot. (Just google for sites and you'll find all kinds) seems to work through tipping, I'm not positive on the specifics or if tipping is mandatory. I would think your friend could just put out a personal ad for inviting people to watch her on something like skype. What's her definition of safe? I don't really have any experience with the sites to know if they're safe. I think if your friend is serious about this, she should do some research on the subject on her own. Then she can compare sites and look for her preferred safety features and payment options.

Sometimes fantasies are best lived out in our imagination only. What seems like fun or a good idea might not yield the results expected. She should at least think it through and consider any aftereffects. Does she honestly not care who might see her doing this? Would she be upset if a video of it was floating around on the internet? Even skype sessions can be recorded. So, if it's just for fun...I would advise her to share this fantasy with one of her guys you mentioned. If he were into it he could invite some friends over for a 'Skype party' and she could perform her cam girl fantasy for them. That way she would have more control. It would be with someone she trusts. Less chances that he would record it and post it somewhere. His friends could be people she doesn't know and would probably never meet or ones she picks out and feels comfortable with, whatever she wants. It would at least be one way to test it out and see if she enjoys it before she takes the fantasy further. But if she really desides to do it:
Just a few quick tips, if she wants to avoid embarrassments:
1) She needs to make sure the room is very clean and tidy.
2) test the camera picture by doing several test recordings. If she doesn't have a professional cam with a remote - plan where the camera will be looking all the time.
3) Test the sound so it doesn't sound like from a bottom of a barrel.
4) Pick clothes that are easy to take off. Nothing like a tight jeans that you need to struggle with for a minute to break the atmosphere. Also, more clothes is a good thing.
5) Make sure all toys are nearby. A glass of water is nearby in case she needs it. Everything should be in reach so she doesn't need to go out of the shot even for a moment.
6) Make sure she has a plan. How long she talks, how will she take her clothes off (if she will), how will she masturbate - a plan for whatever she's planning to do.
7) Keep it simple for the first time.
