How to be a guest

I had a friend with me going through Lit and he wanted to post as a guest. We could not figure out how to do that from my computer. He would automatically be logged in as me at the BB. Now I am sure we were being plain stupid but what did we do wrong?

This sounds dumb but no where do you log out at? I thought just leaving the site logged one out automatically.

I have it now. I found the answer from another thread recently asking the same question.

When it comes up as your name and password pre-filled in the reply heading, all your friend needs to do is change the information to the guest name he wants to use.

If he later registers, changing to his name and password will log you out and log him in which changes where the last read arrows link to. A minor problem, but if you depend on the last read indicators it can be a pain.
