Just over at the new stories thread.

As usual, there are several authours whose names dominate.

Every day there's at least two, often more, stories by these people.

It's more than just a little intimidating, let me tell you.

OK, rant over. Off to dinner and then more writing.

I'm entirely in agreement with KY. Set your own goals and work toward them. Fortunately, talent is not a zero-sum game. Other people can have as much as they like (or as little) - there's always more left for you as well.

They may be cranking those stories out at an incredible rate, but are they having any fun in between those marathons at the computer? Do they get to flirt with Lou, and Lucky, and Becca, etc. ?

I think I'd rather not crank 'em out as fast. Couldn't do without my sisters here, that's for damn sure.

a) They have a bank of stories... I did when I first joined literotica. In fact, my longest stories cannot or need some judicious editing before posting.

I have a 56 chapter story that I could post on Lit with only one age change for a sixteen year old to an 18 year old... grand total so far is close to 1600kb file size, consider that a floppy is 1.44 and that's about 400 pages.

b) A one lit page story is about about 3000 words... I banged out a 1000 word flash from the Yui Avatar in 45 minutes, three edits even... because I have a job that let's me do it.

c) Are they sex scenes/situations or fully realized and actualized stories (themes and all)... a sexual situation is easy to get out, but if you write stories that takes longer.

It's never the sex that takes me long to write... it's getting the people into bed that takes me a week or two... if figuring out a story that is BETTER with the use of sex.
