Demographic trends won't be enough, and assuming that leads to dangerous complacency.

The Democrats have a future if and only if the Justice Democrats -- a sort of left-wing Tea Party movement -- succeed in transforming the party. In economic as distinct from social terms, the Democratic Party in its current form is not liberal enough to win. There is far too much corporate/Wall Street/1% influence. That is one reason why Trump won -- the American people do not want the plutocracy we have now, and many voters somehow concluded only Trump could and would fight it, partly because the Democrats have presented no real opposition to the plutocracy for decades now. But if the Democrats become a real left-populist, social-democratic party, then they can win.

Good Luck with that! The DNC is bought and paid for by the Eastern Establishment. Perez was put in charge to prevent the popular revolt from messing up the gravy train.

"Follow the money" should be our cry! How much of the DNC funds are paid to political consultants who spout reams of policy punditry but do very little for the base voters? The DNC spent how much to elect Hillary, and how much to protect our Supreme Court? The Senate was primed for a Democratic majority but the DNC didn't focus on that and lost the hope to regain a progressive Supreme Court.

How many Demos in the house were really supported by the DNC?

If the DNC fucks up the 2018 elections, they are doomed!

Putting the Republicans in charge for a while is usually a good start.

Bernie Sanders Storms The South And Fights For Worker Rights By Marching In Mississippi

Backing Bernie will do more than hyping Hillary for 2018.

In a statement provided to PoliticusUSA, Sen. Sanders said, “I am proud to join the fight to give Nissan’s workers the justice, dignity and the right to join a union that they deserve. What the workers are doing is a courageous and enormously important effort to improve their lives.”

Nissan has unionized representation in 42 of its 45 plants around the world, but not in Tennessee or Mississippi. Sanders stated a basic truth, “The American South should not be treated differently.”

Sen. Sanders (I-VT) is in charge of outreach for Senate Democrats, and his march with workers on Saturday highlights a key piece of the Sanders strategy to rebuild the Democratic Party. There are Democrats in Mississippi, but even if there were none, it is important for Democrats and the left to go into Republican-controlled states and fight for their values like the workers’ rights.

Democrats need to stop their anti-American activities and turn away from their Progressivism (Communism with patience.)
