How 'real' are your stories?

When you guys write stories or threads, how much of your writing is based on real situations or people?

Most of the characters in my stories are based on real people I know and want to fuck, and most of my plotlines are based on my own real fantasies.

Has anyone written threads about a personal experience?

I was just curious.....

Well all my stories and threads are fantasy. And most characters are too...except a couple of them, i just was thinking of a name and it popped into my head. But the Eric character in Cat's Away is mostly based on me.

My story "A boy at a girls school" is based on a real situation. I applied for a school that used to be girls only but had only recently allowed boys in. It was still about 90% girls. I never actually went there but it would have been very interesting!

It's a mixture really. Several characters in my stories are based on people I know, or knew when I was in college or high school. Situations found in my sories are largly based on settings, rather than incidents.

My stories are pretty real. Some where, split between my 3 stories are every sexual experience I've ever had... and every one I've fantasized about. Most of my characters are fictional, but do have resembanlances to people. Mostly adult film stars or people I've known/know.

A portion of my threads are based on real people and real situations. Many are just continuations of threads written by others, so I fit things to the existing setup. Many are based on fantasies of mine or just common fantasies in general.

All of Jamaican Resort, The Mailroom Guy, High School Reunion, and Lawn Boy are fictional (my thread at least). Dorm Life is going to be based on experiences and people from my college dorm life, as well as fantasies I had or have about that era of my life. All three girls in My Son's Friends are based on real people. The situation is not, just fantasy.

School of Love is based on girls and situations from high school, part fantasy, part reality. I'm treating this story and Dorm Life as kind of how I wished those periods had been like for me. Sex With Consequences is pure fiction, as is The Super.

My stories are all 100% true... unless I was dreaming at the time... hmm....

Bits and pieces.

Bits and pieces from reality make it into my threads, some bits bigger than others.

Most of my characters and situations are pure fiction. Some of the fine details of sensation and action during sex are taken from experience. I can see some places I've drawn from experience more directly, however.

1. One of my former girlfriends worked as a security guard. My various "security woman" characters (for example, in Best Man's Diary, Office Morale, or The Choices We Make) take on at least a bit of her sassy attitude.

2. The contents of Marcie's zippered purse pocket are drawn from life...except in real life it was a lunchbox. I think I mention condoms and lubricant in general more than some other authors, too; the safer-sex emphasis has some basis in real experience.

3. Hank and Veevee's circle of swinger friends in When The Cat's Away are very loosely based on a group of real people, though nobody else in that story is.

4. Patty in Office Morale is based on someone with a striking appearance that I never really knew personally.

Like Torg it seems like some of my experiences (like living situations in college) might be better imaginative jumping off points ("the way it should have been") rather than direct sources of thread material. Other experiences might work more directly, but it would be boring to re-write the scenes so that (a) they made sense, and (b) identifying details were changed to protect the guilty.

Hmm, maybe if I switched everyone's genders and moved them to a different continent... :)
