My ears stretched...ummm I think not! I am dreading my thirties because I feel so old already....I have lived enough life for 3 women. I am so stuck in a rut ... Don't get me wrong, I have a wonderful life...great husband, kids , the whole bit but damn if I don't just feel like screaming sometimes....as if I am some imposter living this middle class white life...ya know? I am a GirlScout leader, a member of the FOP auxillary,PTA board member,belong to a great little non-denominational church....blah blah blah

But when nobody is looking I crank up the Korn, let my Tattoos hang out and feel like taking the scissors and chopping off my hair...

So I guess you could say I am having a bit of a mid-life crisis.

Adoratrice, I got my first tattoo at 45. The 30's were okay, but the 40's have been awesome -- FREEDOM!!!! I really can't wait for 50.

The only downside is the arthritis in my knees, but life is full of tradeoffs.

Just be yourself. Let it all hang out at the PTA; they need it anyway. Forget the white bread; be pumpernickel. It's a heckuva lot more fun.

Creamylady....That sounds like wonderful advice, Thank you. I am planning on doing more things that make me happy....just not sure if I should jump right in and make everyone think I'm loony or do a slow gradual change and try to convence everyone that I had always been that way?

When I think of my 40's it doesn't bother me....I guess it's just that 30 makes me an official "Grown-up"
