While living in Milwaukee I had become friends with a number of gay/lesbians. Now that I have moved back to a "closeted/homophobic" small town I miss a lot of my friends and the talks we had.

One question that I never asked, (as I never really thought to) is how much sex do you have?

Being a guy myself I can only imagine that a gay male in a serious relationship must get laid almost every night. But what do I know?

Sorry if this comes off as a stupid straight guy question, but I really would like to know.

I can't answer your question but I can say that not all men want sex every night. I think that is a big assumuption. Unless of course my husband is the only freak!

It's not a stupid question.

Every survey I've ever seen shows that gay men have sex more often , on average, than any other group.

Like any other relationship, however, gay relationships tend to have an arc of sexual interest, and the frequency of sex, for most couples, will diminish over time.

In the early stages, I'd guess that most gay male couples have sex pretty damn often. Perhaps not every night, we are human after all, we get tired too!

I have an extremely high sex drive...and most of the guys i have played around with did as well. My last bi boyfriend had sex with me on average of three times a day and he told me his sexual drive only INCREASED with guys. My children's father and I had sex the same way for close to 9 years. (And he was heterosexual)
To me, it seems the libido is what is responsible for that, as well as the length and comfort level of the relationship...but i could be wrong!!!

i don't mean to sound smarmy or anything but i can pretty much have sex whenever i feel like it and i have at any given time about a dozen guys i can play with. i go through phases. there are times i can go a few weeks without any kind of contact and times when i act a lot more impulsively.

I have a huge sexually crazy arc at the beginning of a relationship and then things like having a job I hate and a house I should be cleaning, and paintings to paint...they suddenly reassert themselves.

So...answer...not enough.

I like to have sex about 3 times a week, once a day on vacations and when I don't have lots of crap competing for my energy.

I like to do SM once a week, at minimum.

But GLAM! Twas not smarmy at all. It seems to me, that like a fine wine gay men always get better with time. (at least that's what my cousin sez about His old man...age difference of about 20 years..)

I think every one goes through cycles like that...i know i do...especially when i haven't met one person in months that i really wanna get down and dirty with!!!
