How often do you look for something new to read here?

So, we are all no doubt followed by some users and also follow others in return (hey, that’s how social erotic media works these days) so there’s no big reveal here.

But, one thing I do enjoy doing is having a scroll through the Tags categories and seeing if I can find something new I like as a story or someone new I like as an author, doing a deep dive probably every other week or so.

So my question is, do you guys still look for new authors to read, how often, or is your read list pretty much right these days?

Thanks, everyone.

I still look through and try to find new stories. Most of the time I keep an eye on my favourite categories and look for new stories that have been published. I definitely should do more though as there are some excellent stories I’ve missed over the years.
I usually find sometimes going out of the usual zone can be quite appealing.

I publish in group sex but found a world of stuff outside that genre (even in Romance) that I enjoy.

I probably read one or two stories a day, and half a dozen poems. Most of which are by Authors I already follow. I do, however, start by searching my preferred catagories for new Authors/stories which may strike my fancy. I occasionally find a few I enjoy, and in turn begin following said author. I have pretty specific tastes, so it isn't often I find what I'm looking for.

That’s a good amount to get through each day! What are your specific tastes in a story?
I tend to read Gay Male, but mostly I look for a quality story with interesting characters and an element of romance. I read a little bit of everything, so my preferred categories are not deal-breakers. I just tend to avoid the hit it and quit it(s).

I check every day for new stories in the categories I follow. I usually dont consider reading them unless they have a score of 4.5 or higher.

I sometimes check out writers who "favorite" me, but other than that? Not really.

When I was exclusively a reader here, I always used the New Stories portal. That's still my first impulse. Honestly, though, since I've started writing, I'm finding fewer and fewer things that interest me. Or maybe I started writing because I was finding fewer and fewer things that were interesting me...

I used to look through the new stories to see what my favorite writers were doing, then I discovered that if I favorite them the search gets easier (and I'm some kind of tech wizard?) Currently I enjoy scrolling through the Authors hangout to find out what makes us tick. At least I found out what all these bunnies hopping around my home office are.

You know what I find amazing, how much, for all the kinky, twisted stuff we read and create, romance is still a bit of a winning factor.

I guess we love the thorn as much as the rose.

Well, I don't look that often. In over four years here, I have only forty favorite stories, or about ten per year. I'm only following six people and - sorry guys! - even when I get a notification it may take me a while to read whatever it is. I'm mainly concentrating on writing my own stuff (on two other sites as well) and I look at the forums quite often. That is about 95% of my involvement with Lit.

If I may note about my own followers - I think I have about 104 right now: they rarely, very rarely, comment on anything. I guess some of them are reading me, but I don't know. That holds true of other sites where I have followers. I'm lucky if I get two comments.

Don’t worry, I’m not offended. The great thing about us writers (even within erotica) is that we’re all different so if you don’t read much or read a lot, it’s all good.

To be honest, my writing a story on here in the first place was a complete fluke, and I never intended to be a writer, only a reader, so there you go.

It's rare for me to read anything there, so the answer to the OP, I guess, is "never." I'm here to post my own stories.

Every couple of weeks I'm in the mood to find something to read. I tend to look at New stories or certain tags, but have more success clicking on names of people who have followed or favorited some of my stories and seeing what else they liked.

When I have time (which is rare lately), I check my favorite tags for any new stories. I do have a few favorite authors who, when I see on my feed that they've published a new story, I always read it right away. There aren't too many of those, for the simple reason that I rarely have the time to read lots of other stories and discover any new-to-me authors.
