How often do you change your AV?

I decided to come out of lurk mode long enough to post some questions...

How often do you change your avatar?
Is there anyone who has had the same one forever, and doesn't plan to change it?
What about those of you who change it frequently? Do you use it to dictate mood? or just for fun?

I finally decided to change mine today....it had been the same for so long...I just wanted to hear how other people feel about their AVs and find out if I am the only one who somehow developed an odd attachment to theirs.

I cycle through my regular ones...

they express my moods better than any preplanned ones.

I guess I am one of those that changes my av's pretty frequently but since they are always pics of me...it does not really matter.

I've had the same one forever, and aside from occasional bouts of silliness where I will place a season specific hat on it, I don't plan on changing.

We have stayed with our original choice and so far have no plans to change it. I think we would be hard put to find another which fitted us as well as this one does in all ways. While I appreciate the variation of AV's, I also like those which stay the same simply for easy recognition of posters at a glance.

Catalina...I know what you mean. I tend to be a visual person and often identify posters by the AV before I notice their name...not sure why. Since I don't post as much any more, it doesn't apply so much to me, but I do find I get thrown off when people change...unless it is someone who changes all the time, then I come to expect it.

the one i have right now, the bruised pinup girl, was my first ever av here on lit. .ive thought about changing it recently but i cant think of anythingn else id like as much... on other boards i go to i change my av every couple weeks or so..

Sometimes I get unnatural attachements to things..and I think my AV is one of them LOL

Onto subject... I've changed mine a few times. I like the current one and probably won't change for awhile. But all of my avs related to my name though that wouldn't be obvious to everyone... skylineblue is the color of my eyes... that place where the yellow of sunset touches the dusky evening sky... :ahhh how poetic of me. So all of my avs have had either skylines or my eyes or both.

I rarely change my av anymore...I used to do it daily, then slacked off to weekly. Somehow that trickled down to monthly and now it's rarely if ever.

ID I must agree with pet...I much prefer seeing you looking back at me.

I rarely change. Snooze found this one for me and it suits me. We tend to lounge around together with me leaning against His midsection and Him looking back at me like this lion does. It reminds us both of us.

I used to change mine a lot, depending on my mood - and I probably have at least a 100 stored away for just the right occaision.

I have stuck with this one for the last few months I guess. I have thought about changing it but I never seem to get around to it.

I like it when people pick AVs that represent who they are...makes the connection between them and the AV stronger...

when you DO get to pick your own AV, do you think you will pick one and use it always, or change it up every now and then?

I tend to be a creature of habit, and I WANT to be more daring and change it up, but then I find myself quickly wanting to fall back to old ways (and old AVs ha!)
