I'm curious. There are rampant ads but I wanna how many of them are answered. It seems discouraging when the only replies are your own bumps.

Well, from my observations....and I am pretty much a confirmed lurker on forums, so what I say with a grain of salt....but it seems like a fair amount of threads are responded to. Of course the threads started by women will get -far- more responses as the male:female ratio is a little heavy on the testosterone.

I say go ahead and post something here! Whats the worst that can happen?

True. I'm kind of a fence sitter though. No idea what I want. So my ad'll be passed over.

I guess my best advice then (again, grain of salt!), would be to describe yourself. Don't put any firm limits as to what you are looking for, definitely guidelines, but nothing set in stone and then just see where it goes.

Either way, I definitely wish you luck in your searches!

Thanks. And don't be afraid to come out of the shadows now and then. Threads can always use new blood.

Even if you did know what you wanted, do you think this (or, indeed, other online BDSM hangouts) is necessarily a good place to find it? It seems most of the males are not so much out of their trees as out of their whole forests, while it seems that many of the soi disant females are being less fully frank.

Welcome to the jungle. The fence is the safest place to sit, but lurking is probably safer.

Well, from what I've always seen here, if you're a female sub looking for a Dom, you'll get tons of replies. If you're a Dom or Domme looking for a female sub, you'll get a fair amount of replies. If you're a Domme looking for a male sub (rarely happens), you'll get tons of replies. But if you're a male sub looking for a Domme, forget it.

As with all site their are the fakes players and want to be's. It takes time to find what you seek so all I can say is keep looking and use caution.
As a retired firefighter from NY I wish you the best of luck in what you seek!
