I guess I drink much more than average: about 8 to 10 liters a day...

Hmmm. Do you have a portable toilet? :D

For myself I would guess about 3 l. between water and Green Tea.

10 liters of water is big deal?

Water is crucial for life, I will try to drink as much as possible as long as I feel comfortable.

Over 24 hours, I drink 5 x 900ml bottles of filtered water (I have a water bottle with a replaceable filter). I'm so used to drinking it, that I even semi-wake during the night and have a full bottle during my sleep.
That's on top of coffee, fresh juice, and alcohol.

Mind you - I have to drink a lot of water to keep my kidney's flushed as I have some kidney damage from an infection a long time ago.

During warmer months, about 3 litres a day.

During winter, 1 maybe, with the remainder of my fluid intake consisting of coffee.

Nope, they seem to work fine. I function well even when I'm peeing close to brown coloured from dehydration. Guess it's a work thing.

It surprises me that a lot of people drink so little of water.

1-2 litres of liquid. Most of it tea and coffee. Or Coke Zero. Pure water? Rarely.

We had a radio station over here do a contest where the prize was a new Playstation or something like that, the contest was to see how much water could be consumed...the mom who won also died from drinking too much water. The radio station failed to do their research and didn't know that water intoxication is a real thing. Tragic.

After my morning coffee I drink nothing but water until and unless I open a bottle of whiskey.

I have no idea- I drink a lot during my morning workout... I have to buy a new 24-pack of bottles about every two or three days, so, somewhere between 8-12 bottles? But I have no idea how much is in a bottle. I get those little kool-aid vitamin things and pour into them. Not ool-aid brand, but you know what I mean.

some days i drink no water at all
during a soccer game, i might make half a bottle go away, that's about it.
when i'm at the gym, i'll go to the water fountain 3 or 4 times, but i'll only take sips.

never been a big water drinker.

i don't stretch either

People that eat a lot of fruits and vegetables can take in considerable water from those sources. It is not just about what you drink out of a glass. :)

I don't drink much water, only in summer.
I drink tea, most of the day, fruit juice at breakfast, in the afternoon milk, or yoghurt.
All in all about two liters, I think.

Thank you for mentioning this! I have had water intoxication. Lucky for me, I had heard about it, so I was able to recognize what was going on & seek help ASAP. I had a toothache & was drinking cold water to numb it until after my dentist appointment. I was actually at the pharmacy to fill my painkillers when it hit me. I wanted to sleep soo badly, I had lost all desire to pee, couldn't walk straight, blurry vision.. I felt - drunk!

People drink water out of bottles? Here, it comes out of the tap. Purest you'll ever drink.

Here our tap water is full of coal slurry and lime. It'll turn your hair and skin colors from bathing in it if you're pale/blond (light) enough. It's pretty nasty.
