I love -- or, at least in in the past, have loved -- Presidential debates.

For the record, I was very disappointed that the candidates in this one strayed so far away from the questions asked and instructions given by the moderator.

You might be able to tell that fact in the fact that I asked "<" numbers, not ">" numbers.

Can you no be bothered to write out "president"?

Another "for the record" comment:

Archicus, I have had you on ignore for ... well, since the first time I read your posts. You have no interest in serious discussion, only criticizing others and ridiculing serious topics.

So, that's my way of saying I don't know what you posted -- only that you did indeed post -- and, further, don't really care.

As far as my use of "Prez" ... really? That's the only comment you have to make? Another name for the ignore list. :D

These are the best two people in the entire country? We are so fucked.

I watched "Woman On Top." I was duped into thinking there might be sex in it.

I watch every debate with the sound turned down and Pink Floyd's "The Dark Side of the Moon" turned up.

o

Figure out what to do with that and I might tell you if I do or if I don't.

Oooh, a puzzle! I love puzzles! I really suck at them but I love them! Let's see? A "o" or is it a hole to stick something in? Let's see, you want me to bounce a ball?

Okay, so ... two candidates to pick from, who would they be? Seriously! No joke. Who should be Prez in your opinion -- regardless of party affiliation and actual possibility of being elected! -- and who would you put up against him/her?

Given that I don't believe a word that either candidate has to say, I don't care to watch the debates. Why pretend that their platforms actually mean anything when the whole thing is a PR gig to get someone elected. From there, whatever corporate interests and lobbyists have the most influence will really dictate their policies.

Personally, I'm in favor of Cthulhu for President. After all, why should we keep settling for a lesser evil?

This is why I don't watch them anymore. Once upon a time candidates' debates were about giving voters information to make a decision. Now it is primarily used as just another strategic campaign tool by the candidates. That is why the candidates stray far from the moderator's specific questions. The free media face time is too valuable to be wasted on adhering to some dispassionate bipartisan agenda.

Obama's primary job this evening was to keep Romney from hitting a "home run." That's not a particularly difficult job for an incumbent to do, so I expect he probably succeeded.

Of course, it has nothing to do with running the country.

The presidential debate was an elaborately scripted dog and pony show.

Politics have become so mind-blowingly corrupt, fraudulent, illegitimate, conspiratorial, and malfeasant, that regardless of who is president, you are going to have the exact same government and the exact same policies.

Totally watched. Even imagined so many in here bleeding from their eyes and ear sockets.

Once over, I jumped around to CNN then FOX then NSNBC and back and forth, what a night! I miss Killswitch!

For this forum, I recall Jim Carrey discussing his role as Ace Ventura: Pet Detective... he said, and I quote, "Any guy with that much confidence just has to have a big dick." And that's what Romney showed tonite... his big, thick dick slapping Obama over and over.

But I sense trickery up slender-fingered man Obama for the next round.

The US government is owned and controlled wholly by private industry and corporate special interest.

You're just a Downer. You were waiting for someone to reply to this above and since nobody did you replied to me with something stupid.

Since Kerry slamdunked his debates years ago yet still lost, maybe you're right.

I'm referring to the dog and pony show you mentioned.

One of the talking heads stole my THurston Howell III apellation for Mitt. Must be reading my posts.
