A question for all of the wise folk who loiter in this neck of the woods. I awoke this morning to find that a story of mine, "Emily Goes Door to Door", was placed in the New Section, and in fact in prime position right at the top.
I was pleased to see Emily there, but was confused since this story had been posted and read for a month already and had long since gone to the Anal catalog. It had garnered critical acclaim and rave reviews (an utterly shameless and unnecessary plug for a masterpiece) in it's time, but could not figure out why or how it came surfaced again. On my profile page the March date of the story has been replaced with today's date.
I have another Emily story that has been in the queue for about a week, another stroketastic epic called "Emily Does Provincetown".
I sent a message in the "problems with this story contact the webmaster" explaining all of this, but now here is my question (at long last you babbling windbag).
Is something like this worth bothering Laurel with, or is what I did enough? Will that message get read? I feel guilty taking up primo space in New while everyone else sits and stews with real New things, and I don't want poor Emily to suffer readers wrath by them thinking I was slipping this in on them again.
