How often does everyone interact with their readers? I was surprised when I started publishing to see people start emailing me...

How often does everyone respond on this kind of thing? I have found myself engaging with a few folks and have really enjoyed it!

I always appreciate readers taking the time to email me, and I try to respond back if they leave an email address. For the most part, I've encountered very nice and encouraging people (and some weird ones haha).

I love, LOVE readers commenting and emailing - it means they had strong feelings (good and bad) and I appreciate that.

I thank everyone by email who favorites me personally as I take that as a huge honor in the midst of so many great writers.

Any comments left on my stories will get a response from me as again I'm so grateful they took the time.

Emails, oh yeah, I respond in kind.

In the writing profession you never hear much from fans I find. Sure at signings, readings and appearances but that is a staged event and very different to me. Here, I can communicate directly, much more personally - I love it!

I'm not surprised at the reaction you, get as "Carnal Knowledge" is very good.

Signed, a fan. :rose:

I've had some prolonged contact via emails on stories (the longest probably with my major publisher and cowriter who commented on a story on another site eleven years ago, and we have chatted every day since). Ones I particularly enjoy is having the opportunity to give background that went into the writing of stories readers comment on.

I got feedback from readers through comments and emails for my first few stories. Then the emails stopped, and now I get few unsolicited comments. I appreciate the comments I get, but there aren't many.
