How many votes does it take before a story get's the "H" designation? I have one with 7 votes, all fives, and it doesn't have an "H".

Aside from the 10 votes minimum, what are the other requirements or an "H". I notice that most of my stories have it, but a few don't.

Is it ranking or is it flat vote average?

If you have seven votes, all fives, and the next three are also fives, it's almost a certainty that the eleventh will be a one. Unfortunately, that's the way the troll mind operates.

I don't know about the score being shown, but I do know that nothing will appear in the ranking lists until it has at least 10 votes.

Everything which is on the site shows in the index. I think Og and co. mean that once you get ten votes and your score is near the 5.00 mark, then you get into the Top Lists. The trolls keep wandering there and once your story is near the top and visible on the list, WHAM! Instant ones.

Nobody knows why trolls act that way but there are probably several reasons. Some of them don't like porn and come here to express their dislike. I suppose others have equally dumb reasons.

There is no point. As I said, the reasons are all dumb.

Envy perhaps. There is no point in bombing a story with a high rating unless you stand to get an advantage from it. It strikes me as unusual sometimes that some stories in the top list have an impossibly high average after an awesome number of votes. While most of the other stories all lurk on a similar lower number of votes. Insert conspiracy theories here.

You could of course turn off voting. I have always thought of it, but always choose to accept the umpire's decision. At least until the next bomb explodes .....

Hi mcfbridge,

Yes, the "H" comes and goes with your score. If you drop below 4.50, the "H" goes away, but if your score rises to 4.50 or above, then the "H" returns like magic.
