Saw last night the reason for the bombing slowdown is that America has run out of planes to do the job with. The UK has to inflight refuel incoming US Air Force bombers from Missouri, because the US Navy inflight refuellers arent compatible with the US Air Force. The US Navy only has enough capacity to inflight refuel two bombing missions,of it's own, a day.
The whole mission is being hampered by the lack of a local landing strip, which is the one thing the Afghans has, (or had) that the US doesn't.
