How many stories?

I'm right with you on that one. Wait! Where did that knife come from?

On the last read through of a chapter I just submitted, I realized the woman in one scene had both hands in the man's pants while holding a champagne bottle.

That sounds pretty uncomfortable for the guy. I hope his pants weren't tight.

If the bottle was cold enough it would make for extra space in the pants...

How many do you have going at any one time? I find my attention (or focus, at least) shifts back and forth between three or four.

One. Never more. Each normally has a specific style and ambience that is difficult to recreate. To break it would destroy the story. Also, I like to remember what is already in the story so I don't make repetitions or forget important inclusions. I often do a story in parts though and don't always do them in order or only one at a time.

Lately, I have had a style that has been consistent through several stories which doesn't please me because of the inflexibility. Once I was accused of being six different people because of the different styles used. That was a lot of fun.

I tried to enter one in the valentine's contest but because it is written in parts on a tablet I can't be sure the parts are in the correct order as they can't be previewed. I'm not even sure I can put all the parts into the one story. I don't think I can submit each seperately and link them as the one story. I've had experience of a stuff up and it wasn't good.
