OK..its the newbie again...

When I sit down to write..I generally have a stream of consciousness where I can write for 8-14 hours at a time. I can do this about once every 6-8 days.

After I write I re-align the chapters, spell check and all of those good things I should.

How many chapters per story should I submit at a time. I currently have 5 chapters submitted. I don't want to tick of the mods and the editors.

Any suggestion.

Thanks

I'm not sure, but I just thought I'd let you know that you have an admirer. :)

I don't normally read Chapter stories. Committment problems.

Seriously, I don't often recall reading the previous stories when I see the new chapters, so I don't ready more than Chapter 1.

The one time I did read a chapter storie and enjoyed it, the writer said in a note at the beginning, that all the chapters were done, and were being submitted, one a day, without a break, with a request to Lit to post them in order, one a day. I not only read the entire series, but looked forward to each new one.

Doesn't matter. If you submit 50 chapters at a time, Literotica will only post one per day.

I think it would be a good idea to submit them all at the same time. That way, they will be posted on consecutive days, and you won't lose your readers. If they are posted several weeks or longer apart, many people won't bother to keep up with them.

If you have the patience to wait, finish the whole story and submit them all at once. They'll post one each day that way, and the readers will have them right there on a daily basis while things are fresh in their minds.

I don't have that kind of patience :p

Just make absolutely sure that they're clean of anything that could cause a rejection. If a chapter gets rejected, you're going to have a hole in your story for a week or more, until a re-submit posts.

And another thing: if you're going to submit part one of something, have part two on the burner. I once read a story that seemed to have lots of promise, when I first started reading stuff in here--it was something to do with a magic dildo someone found--but the writer just left things hanging and never took it any further, let alone concluded it.

Kelly,
Just out of curiosity, can I ask when you submitted those stories?
I'm just getting frustrated because I submitted chapter 2 of one of my stories 8 days ago and it still hasn't posted. :(
I also have another story and 2 poems pending. Poems post fairly quickly though, so I'm not worried about them. All the submissions have views on them, so I know they were at least looked at.

Wow, I'm jealous at your writing speed. Me, I ponder for days and days before writing for 2 hours and then the brain goes blank again. Oh well, hopefully it improves....

Anyway, I prefer posting a new chapter as soon as the former is online. That way I can gather as much feedback as possible - otherwise some chapters get lost in the amount of new stories and the readers tend to only comment on the last chapter.

I'm a feedback-junkie....I admit it....
