Since Christmas, how many stories have you completed if any??

Not just posted on Lit, but elsewhere as well, I've written about 3 for Lit and elsewhere, and another 5 for elsewhere only.

Are any of you suffering a bad batch of the can't finish f**k all syndrome at the moment, I am..............

pops.........:)

Stories completed

I wrote 25 last year between August and the end of the year. Since then, eight. Oh, I forgot about DurtGurl. If those qualify as "stories" that would bring the total for the year to about thirteen.

I think I wrote to take a break from my research and dissertation. Now that's over, and I feel no urge at all to write. I may never do it again. Maybe it was just a phase I was going through.

Most of my stuff was written when I didn't really have the time to do it. Now that I have the time, I don't feel like it.

I think my main problem is that I have the lonelies.

Go figger.

Since Christmas , nine and I have one pending. I have three I desperately need to finish.

cookie:)

I only joined Lit. in late April, wrote 5 short stories in the past month, working on 6th. That's it.

MG: the lonelies will end. Keep hanging round in the meantime. Post that big butt off.

I had to check. You know how the memory gets at my age. At least I hope you know, I've forgotten.

But anyway folks, I've posted three to Lit, had one accepted by a "straight" fiction site, just finished another one which I'll post late next week, and I've done about all the harm I can do to my novel.

The real reason........

Dear Perdita,
Actually I'm just sulky. The Giants and Dodgers are playing at Pac Bell Park this very minute. I gave up my seat so my aunt could take her new girlfriend to the game.

How nice of you. Do they share one of those giant foam fingers or have their own each?

Christmas? I don't know...since January 1st I've submitted 34 things to lit, but I don't know exactly how many are stories.

No. Those are only for the opera and the SF Symphony.

Not sure since Christmas... but a couple for Litland along with several poems (if you can call them that).

For other places, i've written two or three. For nowhere in particular, probably a dozen or so.

A few for the Snippetsville thread.

I seem to be occupied more with editing than with writing in the last couple of months. But that's okay, it's all swings and roundabouts. :)

Can't finish anything Pops? Nothing in particular taking your fancy?

One submission this year, my entry for the 'National Nude Day' contest. It's posted here if you're interested. That, and three or four pieces for the 600/Snippettsville threads.

I seem to be having a 'touch of the moodies, muse gone AWOL' period at the moment. Just hoping it'll go soon.

Hi. I read your story - very fine. Lovely writing, reads with ease and pleasure in it, the writing. Loved all the characters' seemingly natural wit. Glad you posted it here.

regards, Perdita

I have posted 11 stories on Literotica in 2003 so far, but two were written in 2002 and were previously posted elsewhere.

I have written and posted about 6 more elsewhere.

That doesn't include my "poetry" including the Garderobe saga.

Reviewing the numbers above I am surprised. I have had several episodes of writers block this year. I must have been more productive than I thought when the Muses were present.

I would have preferred to write one "good" story than 11 average ones, but maybe next year.

Um, let me think....I believe it's been 19 submitted to Lit so far. That includes some poems (which I totally suck at) and a couple of how to articles and reviews. I've written 2 or 3 for my web site so far this year. And I have one written but am in the process of editing.

The shame is, almost all of those were written between Jan - Mar of this year. I've only been kicking out a story a month lately. I guess that's what happens when you find some one else to occupy your time.

Loads of things taking my fancy love, but I don't want to get locked up do I, hehe!!

Seriously, I've a very heavy workload at the moment and it's taking a toll on my writing for pleasure.

I suffer from "If I don't finish it in one go, it don't get finished" syndrome I think, too many lengthy breaks from a part finished tale to earn a living, and then the interest and inspiration has gone.:(

Oh Rumple, I know what you mean about the age and memory thing, well I think I do:)

Wouldn't life be almost perfect if we had a machine that we could push a button on to reset our priorities.

pleasure time 85%
work time 10%
other 5%

Weird Harold! Whatever happened to that remote control story idea you had?

ps Pops, don't worry about getting locked up. It happens to the best of us at times, and man what a great experience that'd be! ;)
Just imagine the story ideas you could come up with ;)

Mind you jumping anything is fun when you get to my age:D

WSO and Pops:

I don't enjoy jumping (creaky knees), but I love *getting jumped*.
