How many participants do you prefer?

I have had readers comment that they find more than two people in a sex scene confusing. Yet the more stories I write, the less I seem to end up with simple couple sex scenes.

Even in Loving Wives situations, I tend to end up with a threesome, foursome, or moresome.

I'd love comments on preferred mxes as well as votes.

In real life, I prefer more! So, I voted for "moresomes" on your poll. I've never tried to write a story with more than two characters in a sex scene, nor have I read any, so I'm not sure if it's difficult (to write or follow along). I suppose a really good writer can keep the confusion under check!

Umph I seem to find it okay to write sex scenes with more than two participants and haven't gotten any negative feedback on the subject... but then, maybe they are crappy and no-one's bothered to pull me up on it, I don't know!

I probably prefer FMF threesomes... though in the last story that I submitted (Naughty Boy! Ch. 04) I wrote a MFM threesome that ended up evolving into a FMFM foursome, and I reckon that I did alright .

In it, the two female characters end up taking it from one male character at a time, then they each get it from both... pretty hot! It contains incest in parts of it, as well, as does the other three Naughty Boy! stories, so if that isn't your thing, I wouldn't recommend you read

Do you write from experiences or fantasy, or both? Your thoughts on the number of ppl in Lit stories, in your own personal view? One-on-one or more 'active'?

It depends ...

... entirely on the length of the story.

For a short story (say, less than 10K words) there is only room for two or three real characters. In a 60K novel there can be many more. If you look at the Pern series by Anne McCaffrey, there are dozens.

The limit for a reader to keep track of in a section of a long story is probably five or six. More than that and you have to be interweaving different stories.

Of course, there can be as many cardboard cut-out characters (who have little or no personality) as you need. People like the bartender: the bartender refilled his glass as he contemplated the gorgeous blonde who had just walked in, smiling at him and giving him an instant hard-on.
