How Many Of Us Still Read The Stories?

Do you try to keep up with the new stories daily? I can't. There are just SOOOO MANY of them, it is impossible. How about you? Do you keep up with them? Or do you find the Bulletin Board more interesting?

I read them daily, pretty much. It's tons easier now that I can see the author right off the bat, there are some I always read and others I prefer to open only when extremely bored and want to sharpen my grammarhounding.

I don't read the stories here to get off, I read them because I enjoy a good story about sex, so I don't forget what it looks like.

I do...every day. Well, I don't read every one of the new stories, but I'll check out new ones by authors I like or a genre that I like. I'm sure I've missed a few great ones. To combat that...once a week, I peruse the top lists. See what others have enjoyed.
Of course, I can do this because for another 6 months, I'm an unemployed full time student I imagine gainful employment will put an end to that right quick, because I enjoy the BB much more!

The BB is way too interesting. And that's interesting. I'm fairly new at the whole internet thing, I came looking for sex (and found it), but I also found a whole community of people who had things to say that I was interested in hearing. Even their silly stuff isn't as inane as the silly stuff that my RL associates blather about.

Thanks guys, I feel right at home here. Which is why the BB takes most of my time, of which there is little enough anyway.

Juliangel, I'm with you when it comes to reading WriterDom's stories and poems. I always look for his postings on the boards too. He usually has some pretting interesting and comical thoughts. Some just make me laugh so hard. I do, however, like to read the stories. It might not be daily, but I do like to see if Writer Dom has anything new posted. I do have several other authors that I look forward to reading too. Have a great day everyone.

I also came here because of the stories.

I love tasteful porn, but the stories engage my mind and allow me to enjoy the vicarious experience at a more intense level. I've found that I consistently enjoy English Bob's stories. Read one of the Extreme stories today, definitely NOT my flavor.
I came to the board, seeking interaction and the possibility of meeting potential partner(s). I've discovered some very intelligent and witty people on the board. Definitely looking forward to future interaction.

My problem is that my time available to scan the threads is limited. They seem to grow at a tremendous rate. It's tough to keep up, keep track of the ones where I've attempted to contribute, and choose which new ones I'd like to delve into.

and just recently submitted one. The stories are why I came here also and was amazed at the quality of writing here versus what you find on other erotica sites. I used to write a lot of erotica, but recently (in the past year or so) I've slowed down a lot.

Laurel & Manu have done a fantastic job categorizing them and I really like the rating system as well.

I'm picky, so I only read the stories by authors I like in categories I like. I must say, there have been some dry periods.

I came here first because of the stories, stayed to write, and then got addicted to this darned board. It does interfere with the creative process; I have a one track mind and it's hard to maintain momentum on a story while I'm trying to keep up with events.

I must admit that I hardly read the stories anymore. Like the others, there are a few authors that I keep up with, but that's about it. There're just too many stories on here now to read them all, and it's too hard and time-consuming to sort through and find the worthwhile ones.

That said, 95% of my time on Lit is spent here on the BB. It's so much better than a story; the "sex" discussed is better, the "characters" are more interesting, and there is more to the "story" than what meets the eye.

I guess no matter how much I love reading and writing, for me there is no substitute for human interaction (even if it's reading and writing back and forth!).

I will admit that I don't read ever single story, but I do go and see if there any of my "FAV" catagory up, if so then I will read it.

Also if someone says to me "oh Nikki you must check this story out" then I go there ASAP.

So yes I do still read the stories Enjoy them too.

It all goes in cycles with me. Sometimes I'm into the stories, sometimes not. Same with the other parts of Literotica. I was into Chat for a while, but I'm over that now. I'm starting to tire of the Board a bit, which is why you don't see me post half as much as I used to, but that, too, is just a cycle.

Well, I always check the new stories first thing, and read anything that I like the title and category of. I'm not sure that anyone could read them all, any more than anyone could havew read everything in a good library. Which is what the story section has indeed become.

And I agree with DLC about cycles of interest, I am prone to ride them myself.

I check the bb most often, read a story here or there when it's slow. I found Lit 'cause of the stories and didn't know 'bout the bb 'till I began exploring a bit. Now I'm a bb addict. I can't keep up with new stories and for some silly reason I can't hear the audio stories *pout*.

I check the new stories every two or three days. Thanks to the categories, I only read what should interest me. There is a lot of talent posting stories on this site.

I agree. I look in the new listings before hopping over to the BB. Or if the BB is dragging I'll bounce back to the stories to read and rate a few.

I'm very pleased with the quality of the stories that I find here.

Usually I can tell by the first paragraph or so if I'll like a new one, so I do pretty much read at least the beginning of every new story.

Hmmmm...I have realized that I WRITE less since starting on the BB...at least my own personal fiction.

Looking for stories, also brought me to this site. I started to look around and found the chat and the bulletin board at the same time. So my time is divided between reading stories, chatting and role playing on the SRP (consummates a lot of my time, because I am a slow writer.)

You have a lot of stories in every category, though some don't float my boat.
