I actually paid to see King Kong Lives in the theater. Regrettable to say the least.

Same for the 70's remake but I was a kid so it's my parents fault.

I have also always been a fan of Son of Kong for some reason. Just always liked it.

I'd rather see the Broadway production, but who can afford the tickets?

King Kongs may come and go, but Fay Wray lives forever! :rose:

Since the 2000's.

Hollywood just can't seem to come up with anything new so they just keep remaking old movies.

Fast & Furious 100 will soon be out, come on already.....get off the same page!!!

Same with Transformers, and any other movie series that should have died a long time ago.

Transformers movies with Lee Buff. Those are classics that will stand the test of time.

Spiderman reboots come to mind. How many times do we have to see the origin story.

Every few years apparently.

Everything in bold is too many...

Anything related to Mighty Joe Young too...

There seems to be a huge lack of creativity these days with the constant remakes of the works of others in the past. Many reinvented to bring those past great works up today's PC imperatives and affirmative action requirements of today's Actors Guild.

What ever happened to Fay Wray?

AUDIENCE: She got fucked by a 40-foot gorilla!

That delicate satin-draped frame
As it clung to her thigh
How I started to cry

AUDIENCE: You'd really cry if you got fucked by a 40-foot gorilla!

'Cause I wanted to be dressed just the same . . .

There's been way too many King Kong movies. Though my personal favorite is King Kong, 1976. I had an instant crush on Jessica Lange.

When I went to see Logan last week, I seen the billboard for yet another Kong movie. I thought "Fuck. Not another one."

I liked the part where Denham and his crew knocked out KK with a safe knockout gas that totally exists and would be routinely included in a film project's equipment, and then got stomped into tomato paste by Kong's relatives, because the existence of one animal implies the existence of a whole breeding population, you idiots!

I was never much of a Kong fan. I think I've seen the original and v. Godzilla. I rooted for Godzilla. Radioactive giant lizard beats big ape any day of the week. I understand there were actually two versions of that film, in which Kong wins one.

Still, too much Kong for me. Agreed that Hollywood doesn't do much original content these days.

I saw the original 1933 version when I was a kid in the '60's and loved it. None of the remakes have come close to the original, although the special effects are more realistic.

SAG doesn't hire actors.
