How many ideas inspire stories?

I've been known from time to time to write some stories based on ideas put out here. The stories however never turn out as expected for some strange reason.

Regarding the OP. I have several stories inspired by this board. Just click the submission link in my sig. There's Melissa's fling and For My Husbands Pleasure. Both written after reading the idea's here on this board. I've got a third in the works, it's gonna be a long one.
Anyway. The answer is YES. Lots of stories get written off this board.

I was always under the impression that the main purpose of this forum was for authors to post their own vague story ideas and get them refined/encouraged by other authors and readers' feedback. But as for authors getting inspiration here, I imagine its a lot more likely they'd get an idea for a small aspect of a story here and incorporate it with a main idea of their own, rather than just writing a story idea someone described here.

Sometimes we writers take the whole idea and flesh it out into a story. I've done it once, The Photo Shoot. Would not beleive how much help I found fast for that one, amazing how much information you can garner about that particular fantasy of a BDSM nature.
There was another one that I sort of got from the forums. Blackie and I collaborated on a story, I so forget the name of it though it is listed in my story section.
I suppose I better say how to get there, click on my name to the side there and go to my homepage. I am weird, I don't shove my story section in your face like certain people I can mention.

I've seen numerous requests for stories here on this board by people who couldn't even write a post, let alone a story and wanted their story told.
Both stories (ETA: All three) I wrote off this board were those kinds of requests. I wish they'd sweep the votes so the one would make the Red H level. I was logged on when the story posted and in two minutes, I had two one votes. Barely time to even open the story. grumble
But anyway. I see this board as a place for people to look for writers, give idea's for stories, or ask for ideas on specific stories, like Emap is doing with her thread sex and magic.
ETA: Sheesh. Seems I don't even remember what I wrote. Lucky Boy was the first idea from this page that I wrote. Treebeard had the idea. Look for book two soon as well.
