Let's see... the first stroy, I submitted by email, and it took about 2 months, because Laurel was really busy, the second I submitted through my profile page, and it was up in two days.... So I'm thinking average is about a month?

It depends on the story and the method.
"Average" is a meaningless term when you combine apples and oranges.
If your story is submitted through the scripts on your member's profile page, las I heard, it would be posted in 24 to 48 hours. That assumes there isn't any special handling required like Italics, Bold face, special indents (mostly for poems) and the like, which require Laurel's intervention.
If your story does require special handling by Laurel for any reason, OR is submitted via e-mail, in Word format, or RTF format -- the time lag jumps to around a month to six weeks.
This is based on my observations, and NOT on any official word from Laurel or Manu. From Laurel's recent posts elsewhere, I'd guess that her "real" job is pretty busy right now, and the time for posting is likely to double whatever means were used to post the story.
