How long does it take to eget a story put online? I submitted on the 10th and still have not heard anything back :(

Something new and different..........

Dear Gritz,
You submitted a story on the 10th? It's not time to get antsy yet. If accepted, it will be posted in 4-6 days or so after submission. Most of us fill in the waiting period by seeing how long we can stand on one foot, nose picking, creative farting, and other healthy, time-consuming activities.
Helpfully,
MG

Right on!

don't forget obsessively checking our lit profile to see if the story has been posted yet
Dear DN,
Good point. Oh, I forgot breath holding, checking the cat for fleas, and masturbation as ways to pass the time.

More creative time passers........

There are numerous time consuming self-maintenance projects that can be undertaken: Toenail chewing, cerumen removal, nose hair depilation, etc. I also find that memorizing natural log tables is a totally useless but time passing activity. I'd never stoop so low as to watch commercial TV or read Harry Potter novels, though.

Ps. Pardon me while I duck.

D'you think we should add a Sticky about this? It's so much more satisfying to cut people off with a sharp (and potentially gnomic) "See the Sticky" than it is to expend all this effort coming up with creative ways to both answer their question and make their heads spin in confusion and/or possession. I mean, if I were a stickymaker, I'd go for it.

Mais, non.

Dear Q,
That would take all the fun out of it. We always start with a straight, definitive answer, then run with it.

Let's not forget....

Well, all of the above solutions were fun. Tho some of them in my case are almost impossible to do. So, here's what I do while waiting for my subbmissions to either get approved or tossed out.

I write another chapter to the story in progress. My muse tends to not want to let a storyline go and keeps making me add on more ideas. Who knows, if I string them all together, change a few things around, I could have a full blown book on my hands.

Besides, it keeps me from driving the rest of the house crazy with my rantings and ravings.

You should see a doctor about that.

Hi, I'm relatively new to erotic fiction, but I've been reading on Literotica for several months now. Having decided that High School English gave me better grammar sense than many of the writers who get stories accepted, I signed up and wrote a story. That said, how long does it usually take for stories to be accepted? I'm on pins and needles here.

Under ideal conditions, usually no longer than three days. :D

At the moment, Laurel will be concentrating on the "Nude Day Contest" entries.
As they have a limited time to reach an audience, and attain a vote, they have priority. :(

Try to blunt your pins and needles for a few extra days.

Best wishes,

Forgive us ;)

Spelling buddy says "frivolatry," defined making a false god out of fluffy answers. :D

Deja who?

Seems like I've read that line somewhere before.

Sweat it not, kissmygritz. You've just had your initiation into the AH love fest. After this, it's uphill all the way. Although, truth be told, sometimes it feels a little like the hill old Sisyphus had to endlessly push that boulder up, some say while being attacked by birds.

Now, about your original question; the time will vary depending on the number of stories being submitted.
