How Long?

I'm wondering how long, on average, it takes from the time a story is submitted until it would be posted? I'm just curious.

I've submitted three different stories that have been posted so far. One of these was a multi-part story. My own experience has been that it takes anywhere from 10 days to three weeks to get posted. An important factor influencing the length of time is the backlog of stories and the number of stories submitted. Laurel and Manu can read only so many stories in one sitting and as far as I know they're the two people who control this website and determine what stories get posted. They do an excellent job and they are very fair. It helps if the story is well written and tightly edited.

I think that Greg is correct. Last year it seemed to take about a week before a story would appear on the site, now it's more like 3 to 4 weeks. Although sometimes a little frustrating, this can only be a good thing as it means the volume of submitted stories is obviously on the increase and therefore more for us all to enjoy!!

Agree...

It does seem to be talking longer. I think it was around a week last year, now it's taking something around two weeks.
