How long?

How long does it usually take to get your story posted? Is it quicker for those seasoned writers? I just read somewhere on here that someone has been waiting a month for their story to be posted. I'm sure as more and more people view the site, it will take longer to sift through them all. I just sent some in last week and I'm anxious to know if/when they will be posted.

It took about 10 days for my first story ( a three parter) to be published. It was close to a month before I saw the second one. I'm still waiting to see the third and fourth stories. Its been about two and a half weeks and yesterday respectively on those two. I read most of the stories published each day and I can understand how difficult it must be for Laurel to sift through them and ecide if they're worthy of being published. If she wasn't on vacation I'd ask her how many she and Manu get on an average day.

Greg, I did get your message and I will read your stories and let you know what I think. I printed them out so that's a start, right?
I don't like to read stories on line. I like to stab the stories with my colored pens, and if the stories are reallly good, do a few other things with my free hand.

Sammyjo, not to worry, I'm sure your stories will get published, and I would like to read them when they do.

I've submitted at least one story a month for the past six months, a total of eight I think, not counting the ones for the author chain stories. Laurel doesn't play any favorites. If she is caught up it takes a week. If she is behind it might take a month.

With everything Laurel has going on now, we all need to be patient. I just don't know how she can do it myself. She took a big bunch of stories with her and when she gets back in a week she will have a big bunch of new stories sitting there in her mail box waiting.

Just a suggestion for you two. You might consider getting involved in the author chain stories. Those stories take priority naturally and get published quickly. And maybe you could even get involved in the current one. I'll just bet a big bunch of money somebody will drop out.

I sent my last story in mid Jan and it is still not up. Laurel has told me that she is a couple of hundred stories behind, so right now it'll be about a month to get stuff up. Especially since she will be all backed up again when she gets back fron Europe.

Have patience. It will eventually get posted.

When I first began to submit my stories the longest it took was six or seven days, but it has been almost a month with my latest story, but Laurel and Manu are only two people so it's understandable that they may get backed up like this. I'm sure that when they get back from Europe they'll do a little catching up.
Btw, Greg, I will be out of town for a few days, so I will email you back in regards to to your story sometime in the beginning of next week.

Thanks...I figured that was the case. I have talked to a few people on here who have been patiently awaiting the arrival of a story so I was curious if this was normal.
