How Long to Approve?

I had a recent story rejected because at one point in the story I described the jerk off fantasy of a high school boy who was coming to terms with his sexuality and crushing on his best friend.

Fair enough. I changed his and his friend's ages to 18. The characters who actually have sex in the story are still the ages I had them originally: 28 and 30.

So I resubmitted the story, making sure that not one character would be under 18, but it's been an additional week and the story still has not been approved.

Is this normal? It's now been a total of 2 weeks since my first submission.

I don't want to tell people how to run their business; I am, after all, grateful for the venue to write. But with the gazillion editors that the site employs, surely my story should have been approved already, no?

I wait in anticipation and look forward to writing more and sharing some more hot stories. But I'm a bit insulted.

I've gotten so much positive feedback from my stories. I've had emails begging me to continue a story. And now I have, but I can't get it onto the site. It's frustrating.

Oh well, happy jerking off everybody, LOL. I trust my story will be up soon.

A week is not unusual. You can't include the first submission because by editing and resubmitting, your story, in effect, becomes a new submission.

No, there are not a "gazillion" editors involved in the approval process. You are most likely confusing the approval process with the volunteer editor listings. Two completely different things.

Yes the Trolls are a bitch but there is little we can do except wait for a sweep.

And Anymouse is a dumb shit when they bitch about your story and you want to hug and thank them when they are nice.... everyone does except for the Trolls who hate everyone and everything....
