How Long From Acceptance to Posting

OK, my story has been accepted for the second time now, (resubmitted after 6 months had past since the first submission and acceptance but no posting. Figured it may have gotten lost in the shuffle) and the letter I received said that it would be posted in approximately a week. I didn't think it would be that soon simply due to volume of activity on the site so I've been a good girl and been very patient even though I am very excited about sharing my passion with those who'd care to read it. So, it's now been almost a month and still my story has yet to enflame the groins of those lucky readers. What gives? What is the usual time between submission and posting? I even made sure to submit it in plain text form so to eliminate the need for formatting changes. Any ideas on what to do next?

Hi again KM! Always coming to my rescue with the answers and Believe me, I'm more than thankful too! I submitted it through the submission area of my Lieterotica member page. Is this not the way to do so? The first time I sent it as a doc file. That was at the beginning of Dec. 2001. It was accepted then but I was told it would be added to the "Extreme" stories area. No problem but then there was the problem with that area being put on hold for a while and after all that time I resubmitted though this time doing a copy and paste of the plain text file into the submission window. Again it was approved and delegated to the "Extreme" area. Now that area has been updated and still no posting of my story. ( ) I'm really starting to get a complex here! Any suggestions?

Extreme is beyond my level of expertise, I've never actually posted anything there.

Hi all!

We try to post stories within 48 hours of submission. When volume gets heavy, there's sometimes up to a 72-hour delay. I don't currently have any stories in my queue that are older than 6/12. If the story is showing as "PENDING" in your queue and you submitted it long ago, something is not right and you should PM me.

The Extreme site is separate from Lit, and is backed up because of the months-long haitus. That section will be updated weekly starting last week, so your story should be posted sometime soon.

Thanks for the reply Laurel! I appreciate the response and the info. I'll keep watch for my story. It is no longer listed as pending on my member page yet it is also not listed as being among stories that have been submitted. I was wondering if that is due to it's being delegated to the "Extreme" site? Are author controls, such as voting and feedback options, still set at the member control page? Am I right in assuming then that since it is a separate site that the voting or top lists also don't apply to stories that are sent there? I'm not trying to be difficult really, just trying to establish the perimeters and differences between how the "Extreme" site is set up to run in comparison to the main Literotica site.
