How Long for a Submission to make it on the site (newbie question)

Hello Everyone,

I just submitted my first few stories to the site and I was wondering how long the wait is for them to cycle through onto the site.

Where it says we get 40-50 stories a night there, we're now receiving 50-70 - of course, not all are approved. As I mention there, I try not to post more than 50 stories a night. Optimally, I'd rather not post more than 40, as I don't want to overload the readers & I don't want anyone to get buried if possible. At the same time, it's not fair to the authors if I post too much less and get too far behind and thus they have to wait longer to see their story online. That's why your story sometimes will be posted within 24 hours and the next time it'll take 72. It all depends on how many submissions we get that particular day.
