How long does it take for a story to be added?

I'm fairly new to this site. A friend reccomended it to me since she knows that I love to write. I submitted a story, almost two days ago, but it has yet to be added to the list. Am I doing something wrong? How long does it take before its added to the list? Any info/advice will be extremly helpful

If you cut and pasted your story into the text box on the submission page, it should be about 72 hours.

If you submitted it as a Word Document or RTF file with the browse function or through E-mail, it can take a week or more depending on how much is needed to convert it to HTML format.

If it takes more than 10 days, there is something wrong, and you should e-mail Laurel at Info@Literotica.com to find out what is happening. MAke sure you tell her what the story is named, what name you submitted it under, and when you submitted it. The less time she has to spend figuring out what sotry you're talking about, the quicker she can answer you.

As I mention there, I try not to post more than 50 stories a night. Optimally, I'd rather not post more than 40, as I don't want to overload the readers & I don't want anyone to get buried if possible. At the same time, it's not fair to the authors if I post too much less and get too far behind and thus they have to wait longer to see their story online. That's why your story sometimes will be posted within 24 hours and the next time it'll take 48. It all depends on how many submissions we get that particular day.
