But if you're not on a network - at work - behind a firewall - its probably not necessary...

Since Xander is also having problems I'm guessing the fuck up is on AOL's side and we just have to wait for it to get fixed.

Actually it does. the only problem is, that ICQ dont configure itself to work through a firewall. It has to be done manually, which is somewaht of a bitch I have to add.

I did that at my old work in Denmark, and it worked like a charm.

Maybe I should ask you someday, Xander, how to configure ICQ to work through the firewall? (I've got one at work AND at home)... but it seems kind of unnecessary - does anyone really ONLY have ICQ? Most people have another choice I think... AIM or MSN or Yahoo...

Nope - Still can't get AOL to work.. get MSN, babe... that's working...

Actually it looks like AOL has some serious updates on their IM server. I get this....unknown failure all the time. And the server is up and down and up and down. Try to ping your AOL server and see for yourself. It's almost like pinging Lit when manu is playing around with the site.

And Dill, you can if you want to. I can show you how it works. But as you said. most people have other options like AIM (ugh) or MSN, yahoo, or something else.

For the record, I actually only had ICQ at one time.

Most of my "lit friends" have msn messenger. That seems to be very commonly used. Though..hehe I use all of them. The number of friends on my lists is..well, obscene! lol
