How is it possible to have a huge jump in views in the middle of a series?

I noticed today that I have some really strange view counts on my chapters and I was wondering how this came about.

As you can see chapter 15 has 1.5k views and chapter 16 has 17.2k

How does this happen? I'm not sure I really grasp how people find works on this site, are people finding works solely through the new stories tab? or is there something else I am missing. I don't think there is a trending tab? Probably?

Well dam, that might actually be it. I guess that category doesn't get a lot of submissions so those chapters stay in the newest chapter list a long time. I guess most people look for new works by browsing the categories then hmm.
