Dennis was live - via phone and on screen - on Howard Stern yesterday morning. Plugging this thing. He was on his couch, drinking booze and obviously drunk - so much so the interview was very difficult. Hell when Dennis is sober he's hare to understand. Why do people use children as an excuse ALL the time? It's not his job to be a role model. He's his own man. He shouldn't have to tone down himself to protect your kids. That's a parents job.

I can name a thousand celebrities who are worse role models. I'd still give them all the time of day.

I'm not defending Rodman. All I'm saying, is that it is not his responsiblity to protect your children. He is who he is. If you feel that he is corrupting the innocent, don't let the innocent have contact with him.

I am not apathetic. I just don't think that children are a reason to censor things.

This is a "porn" site. A lot of people would censor this site "for the children" in the same way that you seem to want to censor Rodman "for the children.". If Rodman bothers you, it is up to YOU to protect your children - just as you would if they were trying to look at Porn.

Labeling someone a "bad" person because they act differently from the Norm is not the way to go. He may be a TERRIBLE Role model. So make sure your children model themselves on someone else.

I have to agree with Maddog on this one. It is a parent's job to be the primary role model for their children. Why would anyone want to emulate celebrities, anyway? Dennis Rodman has the right to be a freak if he wants to, it hasn't affected me in any way. I don't like him, I won't watch him. IMO the biggest problem in the world is the lack of responsibility too many parents feel toward their children. If children are growing up to be irresponsible, insensitive, terrible people, is it really because of Dennis Rodman/television/video games/whatever,
I don't think so. Children can be better served by parents who turn off the computer, turn off the tv & spend time with them. Kind of a unique concept, but it worked for me for 17 years.
