I've got the beginning of a tan, spent some time at the pool, planning a family trip, and wishing for less rain and more sunshine.

Summer starts here tuesday. Spring has been either 95 and humid or 55 and raining. This means the grass grows like crazy but when the temperature is bearable to mow it's usually raining.sweetnpetite said:I've got the beginning of a tan, spent some time at the pool, planning a family trip, and wishing for less rain and more sunshine.

The_Darkness said:The weather is gorgeously hot (no matter how much I hate heat) and it's perfect for doing outside stuff like washing the car, mowing the yard, skinny dipping in the middle of the day....whatever takes us. It's supposed to hold this way for most of next week, too, with temps hitting the lower 100's...which, with rapid cool downs at night will give us some hellacious storms.
I love storms.
It's going to be a good summer if it keeps going like this.
I feel for you....i used to have a 1980 Caprice (well, MOST of it was 1980...) that had vinyl seats, no AC and the heat was always on. Summers in the midwest SUCKED in the most unpleasant way for the last 4 years....matriarch said:Summer came today.
With a vengeance.
85 + degrees, 8 hours inside a tin box on wheels........I fried.

The temp reached the heady heights of 12C (54F) yesterday, rained all day.
The mist clung to the hills so you couldn't see the tops.
Midges were out in droves.
The bright side is: we won't have a water shortage and we won't get sunburnt.
GOD DAMMIT!!!The_Darkness said:Dear God....I thought you said "Midgets were out in droves" and I got weird Ompalompa flashbacks from Charley and the Chocolate Factory.
And now that damn song is in my head....

That was just evil, Dark.![]()
TheEarl said:It's scorching here. I've spent most of the day wandering around in just a pair of shorts.
I watched the Lions win this morning, I sat and relaxed for a bit before spending the day with some good friends, playing mini-golf and cooking a barbecue. There is no finer beer than that drunk after working on a barbecue and I have extra satisfaction at pioneering a new way to cook chicken which was roundly lauded by my mates.
<smiles>
Life is good atm.

You do realise what you have to do after a cancer scare, don't you? You have to check her breasts regularly by massaging them and checking every square inch of them. Maybe 2-3 times a minute.
It's for her own good health.
