"Pastured" is the new buzzword simply because it has no legal definition and sound cool to those that wish to be trendy and feel a sense of elitism. I confess when I ran an organic farm we played games with words solely for marketing purposes.

eta. nevermind! i read the article. i do do free range beef, which is a bit less. so much to think about. *sigh*
