Why not just stay closer, if it's just sex? Love, friendship etc sure, but why so far for sex?

If a guy doesn't know anyone closer, or if this is a sure thing, he would make the trip if able. Men are more driven to have sex than women. Here's a study comparing the sex drive of men and women.

We think about it more and with more intensity.

I was a 50-weeks-on-the-road road warrior for over a decade. I was married during that time, so I wasn't looking for lust though. In 10+ years I had lunch exactly twice with Litsters, the fun one was meeting a sub from the BDSM board. She was dropped off and picked up by her Dom guy.

I have ( usually) quite a high sex drive. I don't necessarily need if filled by another person, though it's obviously good. but sex and 'knowing someone ' et. Are kinda different. ? If seems there are other ways thanong distance travel if people are inspired by that. Now I would definitely long distance travel (G and j have lived I. Different countries from each other) but it was about love more than sex. If sex is wanted especially with modern hook up means cannot if be found d quite close? Doesn't the travel imply some kind of friendship connection too? Of merely lack of confidence or dislike of other types of one nighters. In any case. It all seems to me it makes it about more than 'sex'

Well, I spoke with sweeping generalizations which is a no-no. As a general rule though, I'd say men are more motivated purely by sex than women. You say it was about love, but you are female.

I won't say it's only sex that moves us. Certainly there's (in most cases) some kind of connection. But testosterone is a powerful thing and can (and has) made men do some incredibly stupid things just to get laid. A long distance booty call is well within those bounds.

I've personally made about an hour long drive for some guaranteed sex.

I twice drove from Jasper National Park, Canada to just north of Salt Lake City, Utah. 19 hrs each way. Alas it was just before the economy turned to shite in 2008, so she never returned the favour. Had the downturn not occurred, one of us likely would have moved.
