How does the board look to you?

Ok, totally fluff question, but I'm in a totally fluff mood.

As you might know, there are a number of different style sets for those boards. I got thinking of it when I got a PM explaining that a colored text I used was not readable against the board's background. Well to me it damn well was. Turned out he was having the Christmas skin on.

So how does Lit look to you?

Christmas and a couple of others (Ice Red and Blue) totally suck because the have a fixed width, which is less than half of my screen. Sort of renders having a good monitor completely useless.

Now I want to change my skin.

I thought it was gray/blue because that's how it appeared to me, but it turned out to be really Apple, but now I've changed it to UBB.

I think I'll keep it on Christmas all December, though.

At first, I didn't know what you meant; then I remembered that there is something about that in my control panel. Mine has always been blue/white, which is the default setting, I guess, so I changed it to apple and returned to the thread. It still looks the same. I will try it again.

I just changed it to apple. I don't like it so I will try something else.

I tried gray/dark blue and I don't like it either. I will go back to the original.

Okay, I am back where I started and I think I will leave it there.

I'm trying apple right now... and egad. I hate it. Wow... it feels so... so.... wannabe pro. It's not the mac/apple thing... it justs very poorly put together, a cheap imitation.

Ok, the UBB looks really good. It has the nicest look. I was using blue/white at first but this one now looks better, softer.

Ice Blue looks like a gamer's forum and Ice Red looks like a blog site or a really cheap porn site.

Gray/dark blue looks like a very professional site, like if we were to be discussing the ins and outs of the new Samson CO3 studio condenser and what environment it would be best suited in for recording, to detail all the pitfalls and the sort and what mixers to not connect it to. That kind of professional. Too rigid for me.

Yeah well, the tits in the AV's kind of burst that bubble.

I've tried them all out now, UBB, Gray/Dark blue and apple were the only readable ones. I'll go with Gray/Dark blue for the time being. Although it acts weird in my Phoenix. But that's old, I might need an update anyway.
