How does one volunteer?

I've sent two emails to the info@literotica addresses and haven't had a response yet. I'd like to help in honing some of these stories into more enjoyable tales but no seems to have noticed that my hand is raised.

Hi Marxist.

Same here. I volunteered as soon as I joined and they haven't bothered to get back to me yet either.

I also sent an email request to about 12 existing editors asking if they would edit a story for me. Not one of them bothered to write back.

I don't understand why they volunteered if they don't want to edit anything, and I don't understand why the site asks for volunteers if they won't ever get back to us.

Oh well, their loss. :p

Hi Marxist & Lili!

I'm sorry if you contacted me about this and you haven't received a response yet. We've been working pretty hard on the new member area, along with some other on and offline stuff in the last month. I'm pretty good about getting back with people, but I'm the first to admit that I sometimes get a bit behind on my email. We definitely do want people to sign up for the editor's program. It's been something that a lot of authors give positive feedback on.

As far as the editors that did not respond to you, I cannot speak for them. I do go through the editor list about every 6 months and email every editor to make sure that they are still interested in being involved in the program.

We are currently working on a way to automate the Volunteer Editor program so that it will be more friendly to both authors and editors. These upgrades are part of the larger Writers Resource improvements that we are moving toward. The first step in that improvement was the new member area. Working the bugs out of that is one of the things that has taken some of my time away from email, etc.

Having told you my excuses, I'll do a search on my email tonight and respond to both of you before the break of dawn tomorrow.

I absolutely appreciate the fact that you are willing to volunteer your time to help authors, and I apologize again for not getting back to you as promptly as I would have liked to.

Thanks for prodding me on this. I do appreciate the feedback even when you're reminding me that I'm a lagger. :)

Hey I understand

The upgrades to the site have been nothing less than amazing and helpful, especially for a free service.

At the time I sent in a request to be an editor I didn't realize that the upgrade and attendant problems were underway.

I look forward to the new features and services, just keep me on the list of people willing to help.

Hi Laurel,

Thanks for getting back to us. I was away this weekend and just now got your email.

I have to agree with Marxist - the new site is great. :)

I'll reply to your email right now.

Thanks again,
Lili

Ah, HA!

Well, if it worked for Marxist & Lili, maybe it will work for me, too! I've already said this to the editors while submitting my story, "Treat-n-Trick on All Hallow's Eve," but now I'll try repeating it here and in a direct e-mail to Lofty Laurel, then drop my panties and get ready for whatever may cum next:

By the way, I myself really enjoy editing & have loads of experience at it. Would this be the proper place to volunteer my services? I enjoy rewriting more then mere proofreading, and the epiphany of editing for me cums in intensely intimate interaction with another writer wherein we ... well, to put it erotically, his story seed inseminates my fertile mind, and then we proceed to fuck each other's imaginations more and more passionately until together we give birth to a strapping baby story with both of our contributions so intermingled that everyone who knows either one of us says, "Yes. The baby looks just like you!" So, is there any chance for my type of exhibitionistically interactive editing on your site? Of course, it would be best if he could fly over to Nagasaki, so we could really get totally acquainted, but given the improbability of that . . . It HAS happened, but only once! Sigh. ...the more we know about each other, the better able I’ll be to turn him on and get his creative juices flowing. Do I sound a little bit too horny to get into some way hot and heavy editing here? As a teacher of writing, nothing excites me so much as being a creative muse, inspiring a mediocre author to produce excellent work. Got anything for me? I’m bisexual, so any body’s o.k.

LOVE, Kin Ky
