Does one need to invite a lady to join or does she invite herself?

Where can instructions be found so to properly behave and act?

You can read Hecate Guide to Online Roleplay here. One way to get people to participate is to put out a 'Casting call' which tells us all what your idea is. Then lets people sign up to be in it. Check out most of the threads that either have the words 'Casting Call' in it, or the letters OOC (Out od Character). You can see what I mean there.

Click on the link to the guide above, that'll show you the rules, etc.

Most of all, have fun!

Unless it says in the first post that it is a "closed thread" you can just jump in with something creative and inciteful.
Now, there are a few other things you might want to PM the creator, especially if he says PM with any inquiries.
Also, if you want to join as a partner or lover to someone else, pm them to join in on a similiar background. Nothing like planning to help a story ease itself out from a rocky start.
As far as females go, there can never be enough, so please, feel free to join as many as you think you can handle.
And tell people if you are leaving, makes things easier in the end.

Thank You Paendragon, I had previously read Hectates instructions as you suggested and was still confused.
Thank You Poohlive, you've cleared the confusion as how to join and the closed and open meanings. Now perhaps another question? Who starts these stories or gives permission for the different authors to do so? Is that you or another of the moderators? I am trying to understand the structure here and the rules within it so forgive my naive appearance. I wish to make sure I do not trespass on others rights or assume what I do not know.

Anyone can

If you have a good idea for a plot
If you can write decently..or heck, half decently
If you can committ to being on line to check on the posts of your story twice a week

and

If you can get someone else to play with you....

You too can start a RP!

I'm currently testing the waters for a werewolf storyline.

Some story lines flop, some take off with a life of their own.

So, if you've got an idea throw out a "OCC Casting call for _________" Then in the body of the frist message put your idea and possiable characters you are looking for.

It's fun!

Garras..

Anyone can start a thread. Gotta have a good idea that people are interested in. If I may make a few sugestions:

~Most people like to create their own characters, but if you have a certain idea on what you want the characters to have or how to be, you can add that in your first post.

~Some stories have an Out Of Character thread and a thread for the actual story.

~If you have an idea for a story, but not sure how to develop it into a role playing thread, you can ask for help.

~Keep it simple but fun.

~Don't be afraid to do something unusual.

~In the sexual role playing, there is usually sex involved! or some form of..

~In the regular role playing, there is no sex involved or some form of

:)

No worries! You hit everything I missed, so I think G has a good idea of what he/she/it/them are up against!

No offence ment, G. ;)

I believe I now understand more. Thank You PoliteSuccubus and EarthWind both. It is much like being a stranger in a crowded room. To meet you must browse and move about. To write you must ask or attempt to join the "group" within the story. I also have the option to create my own story and control it's basic course and understand the way it moves depends on all the writers within it. Intriguing. Perhaps I will sit back a while and read the many stories and enjoy thier flavors. Then I will create a few of my own stories and get to meet a few people.

Thank You

I've been reading your excerpts in your site PoliteSuccubus. Excellent beginnings for quite intriguing situations. I'm inclined to hope they continue on. As for offense? None taken. I'm here to learn and absorb knowledge and take it as you offered, in good faith. Thank You again.
