Is it sent to the email address one gave when registering?

I haven't received any feedback yet (though that may prefectly well owe to the fact that I've only been here for a couple of weeks, still have very few stories out - 3, with 2 more pending -, and maybe the stories I have so far do not inspire commentary), so I was just wondering exactly how it works.

A reader can respond to your stories 3 ways. They can vote, the can leave a public comment, or they can send you feedback.

Feedback is sent directly to the email address you provided Literotica when you signed up. Public comments appear at the end of your stories, but the only way you know if you have any public comments is by checking your own submissions page to see if any of the "Edit Public Comments" (or whatever it says) text is lit up. That's the same place you probably check your vote tallies.

They can also PM you on Lit, but that's a lot rarer, in my experience. You'll be notified if you have any PM's.

Feedback is pretty rare too. They say it helps if you specifically put a note in your stories asking for it. Personally, I average maybe 5-6 pieces of feedback on a story, and that's it.

Feedback is a very touchy thing. Generally, (and I only have four stories to draw experience from) I see more feedback the more I submit. Considering all four of my stories (so far) are related to each other, it helps that when people read one, they tend to read the others if they like what they're reading. Most of my feedback consists of requests for more chapters, a great ego boost. However, I sincerely doubt I'd get as much feedback with a standalone story.

Do try asking at the beginning of your story for feedback. It could help -- I've never heard of it damaging your rating!

Good luck!
