Get thee to a haberdasher (mens clothier) and get a proper fitting for suits and dress clothes.. A good one will know how to work with what you have body wise.. you don't have to buy anything but the knowledge of a good fitter will go a long ways toward setting up a style that works for you.. Also GQ and International male are good for getting style ideas.. just understand that unless you have a male models body not everything is going to work...

I can't say all men wearing one thing is sexy. It's the man! Confidence is sexy. Although I do agree there are some things that get my attention...well cut suits, especially Italian cuts, make me crazy. Dress shirts, starched and pressed...I like the idea of unwrapping him. One thing about jeans....I hate painter's pants, unless your a painter. And please don't wear them with sneakers. But, I go back to my first point, it's the guy that makes the clothes! Please post some pics in your favorite outfit for our critique.

A necklace is always attention-getting - not one of those ridiculous bling necklaces though, just a chain or a string of wooden beads or puka shells, or maybe a dragon pendant.

Don't wear all khaki and gray, wear at least one vivid color, preferably not in the form of paisleys or stripes.

Boots (cowboy, punk, goth, medieval) can also be nice.

And it's not dressing but, for my personal taste having long hair always adds 2 points to the guy's appearance 'score'.

However, I'm also a sucker for the laid back guy...
Basic white tee and a well-fitting, well-loved pair of jeans that's been broken in to accentuate those ever-so-wonderful areas; maybe a few rips and tears in 'em to show he's rough and tumble, set off by the right amount of facial scruff...

(Sorry, had images of a few choice guys come to mind there that would look hot in both cases.)

And the low-key necklace is nice too. Somethin' to grab onto when you let him know how you feel about the apparel choice.

The common thread, though, is to give some thought to it and wear things that fit you properly and actually look like you intended to wear them together. One guy might look great in tight jeans and a muscle shirt, while another would look ridiculous in the same outfit. There are two main articles of clothing that make me swoon.

1. A button down shirt with a hint of chest hair underneath.

2. An ankle-length wool trench coat. Like the kind you find on well-dressed men running around New York in January.

However, like some other posters mentioned, the garment doesn't necessarily make the man; the man makes the garment. There are few attributes out there that are sexier than confidence and intelligence...oh, and of course a well-spoken, well-read man who can melt me with his words.
