could someone tell me how do I post links and pictures on my threads and also how do I find quotes?

Welcome to Lit.

First of all, the photo must be on the web, not from your computer. (You could use photobucket for your photos though.)

When you have the photo up, right click and then pick properties. A new window will open, copy the url address. When you are ready to post click on the IMG button (it is the one above that looks something like an image of mountains). You'll paste the url address within those tages. (Remember if you turn a tag on you have to turn it off as well. [*img]photo[/img*] (I used the * only for demontration.)

To post a link just copy the address and paste it into you post.

Also, the How To Cafe does not have IMG as an option, most other forums do though.

Just because it is on the web, doesn't mean you can post just any image. Lots of sites don't allow you to "hot link" to their pictures, they do it so no one can steal their bandwidth.

To post a link just copy the address and paste it into you post.

Or click on the World and Chain icon, then input the text you want to become a link then input the http:// address and it will arrange the link for you.
