How do you write your stories?

I'm always saying I'm going to finish a whole chapter story hefore posting, and Maury's lie-detctor test determined that was a lie. I'm always working on at least two stories at a time, recently that included two versions of one story. Lately I've been posting chaptered stories as one submision, versus a chapter at a time.

Poorly, I'm told. :)

I got really confused on some of the hate stuff on the stories posted in LW. I mean the ones that liked the tales, were nice, those that hated it didn't seem to be thinking the writing was bad, but the subject matter. Others thought I was dreadful person.

The fun part, for me, was how much I got under the incel's collective's skins!

I don't know why Collective Skin sounds like a good title, but it does.

Authors,

When you write for Lit, do you write out your stories, you chapters for your stories all at once or do you do other works in between your chapter works?

For example, you write
ABC Ch. 01
ABC Ch. 02

Different work LMN

ABC Ch. 03

Different work TUV

etc...

The only reason I ever do a chapter style story is due to the length it would be as a stand alone. Therefore, it really is just like writing a stand alone except that I make choices where a good place to break it for each "chapter". I can't see me ever publishing a couple of chapters and then writing a different story before continuing the chapters. Once I get into a story it's best for me to keep the "movie in my head" going until the end.

Chapter stories are interesting in that one can get a clearer picture of who is actually reading the whole story. Also, the way Lit doles them out every few days keeps the story active on the New List. So there are advantages to the multipart approach.
