How Do You Know Youre In Love?

Moments ago I was reading assorted essays about REAL LUV, and the essays by experts seem to be the dummest. I haven't read one yet that doesn't seem like an appeal for better grooming, hygiene, nutrition, and exercise.

So what is it?

Passionate obsession is cool. But I don't think that's it, either.

To me theyre more like on my Favorites List. Life loses some of its joy without them.

That's what I'm saying.

Stalking is proof of true love.

I don't stalk when I want someone in my life, but I know that many do. I characterize 'stalking' as the female stratagem to be close if opportunity strikes.

Nothing says love like chloroform or...so I've heard.

OP, I think you either love someone or you don't. The "true/real" piece automatically exists, therefore the descriptor isn't needed. Added fluff, if you will.

Robert Heinlein helped me out with this, but it fits. It's when someone else's welfare and happiness are more important to you than your own.

BTW, is that you holding a gun on your profile?

If yes, what kind of gun and who were you aiming at?

You do realise that this thread was started by JBJ. Give him a few minutes and he'll tell the rest of us 'how to...'

Well then quit your yapping and just pay attention coz he's gonna tell us a tale about a tale about somethin that was nothin but had everythin and give Scheherazade a run for her money.

*popcorn*

Well...no, toasted naan with cheddar cheese and black pepper.

True. You really have no choice in the matter because its made of the same stuff every enchantment is made from.

An AR-15. I was shooting bottles, tires and an old car across the way. Great fun!

I have a dab of Persian in me so maybe Scheherazade is kin.

I do love cheese, but I must admit it's a carnal love and not a true love. I do not care much for its welfare, only that it be available and yummy.

To be fair, cheese probably resents me mightily.

I know exactly what you mean, but it is a loyal and downright sticks to you in clingy and ugly ways.

A semi... fun.. yes.

And bottles and tires... yup I'm totally buying this.

BTW, you don't need chloroform on me. I'm smart enough to know NEVER to mess with you.

There is no such thing as love. We are on this earth to reproduce and make our species survive. But I guess somehow, someway, Mother-Nature had a few too many drinks and decided to have a few animals (including us) to have this weird bond thing we call "love". It's all hocus-pocus to me. But what do I know? I've only been in love once...

When you think about the person constantly, are concerned about them and get that special feeling when you see them and when you are with them. When you enjoy just being with them. Physical attraction opens the door, from there on it is chemistry.

Not that that isn't gloriously thrilling, however what you are describing is infatuation and it lasts statistically speaking about one year.

I feels it! ^.^

Incorrect verb conjugation intended.

^^^ feelin' a little infatuated at the grammatically aware.

Hooray! I tend to be incorrect for effect. Or because I actually don't know, but at least I know I don't know. Fuck. One of these days I'll look up all the grammar that annoys me because I don't know it.

How do you know if you're in love? All the love songs make sense.
