How do you get a cam to work with AOL?

If you need help testing ;)

Never actually run a camera with aim, yahoo and msn work pretty easily so I'd assume aol has a walkthrough for it... I know only AIM Triton supports video chat.

are you trying to work with aim or actually in the aol community? the aol software should pick up the connection if you are in the aol community. Just be careful of your firewall settings if you have them on . Certain firewalls won't allow the camera to respond and the message box will just sit there and never connect to the cam. hope this helps.....

by the way.....you are smokin hot.

Hey sexy,
All you got to do is connect your cam to the computer and make sure it is working after you have installed the software stuff from the CD it comes with.

I do not use the AIM triton messenger because there are a lot of security issues with it ever since its release. Lab tests have also found out that the messenger keeps running after shutdown; maybe collecting user data or statistics and stuff. Recently they have found out a trojan (harmfull software, unknown to user) to propogate through this messenger.

I use the older AOL messenger and have also installed AIM Ad Hack which is an excellent software that removes the video and other unnecessary tools from messenger including the starting Logo.

Back to your question then you can open an online buddy chat window and goto Insert >> Open Video which will start a video conversation between you and your buddy. Your buddy need not have a webcam but they will be able to see your video and yourself too if the cam is working fine as stated before.

Just let me know through PM if you need further assistance then I would oblige or probably come down to your place and fix things :D

Buh bye,
D
