Hello everyone,

Quick question: How can I close an Role playing thread or make sure only my partner can post there? Thank you!

Did you read through the stickies at the top of the RP forum(s)? They should tell you how to close threads to new players. Actually locking threads and editing titles require a moderator's intervention, but I'm sure the stickies tell you what to do when you don't want anyone else joining the thread (whether that's contacting a mod or just putting a "THREAD CLOSED" type message in the first post, or something else, I don't know).

As a regular on the SRP, I can tell you that most other writers will respect if you simply put (Closed) or (Private) in your thread title.

Also helps if you reference the username of your co-writer in a quickie note before you get into the writing. That way other people don't think you're still looking for a co-writer and attempt to just jump aboard.

Example...
Title:
"Into the Woods (Closed)"

First post:
(This thread is closed between myself and 1DirtyDuck. Feel free to read along!)
....Start of posting, blah blah blah.

Like I said, MOST fellow rp'ers will realize its not open for them to take part in. There's an off-chance of oblivious folk ignoring and trying to hop in anyway. That's when a little "hey, go away" works.
:)
